Recently signed to Majestic Casual Records, Berlin production duo Jan Hammele & Andreas Hube (aka BLYNE) introduce their new “outer space music” project with stunning indie-electronic track ‘Waste Time’. Featuring the pensive, soulful voice of Sydney’s James Chatburn, ‘Waste Time’ opens with crystallised synths and heavy use of auto-tune to enhance that cold disparity of romantic reluctance. After turning over the matter a few times with Chatburn’s pondering repetition of “could be the best…”, the track rapidly begins to thaw through a luscious chorus of epiphanic electronic-R&B - “let us not waste time, as I need you in my life.” It’s a rich, heart-warming tune of high-grade production, artful beat-making and simple, clean lines, that makes ‘Waste Time’ a real keeper.
